Skills to practise

  • Numerical care
  • Consistent checking
  • Clear explanation and professional integrity

Examples of learning routes

The study routes are examples, not admission requirements or a job guarantee. Check school-subject prerequisites, teaching language and recognition of the qualification in your intended work country. For regulated professions, verify training, registration and licensing with the relevant local authority before choosing a programme; university admission does not automatically establish eligibility to practise.

  • Accounting, commerce or a related qualification with a suitable financial foundation
  • A professional accountancy pathway recognised in the intended country, with required training and experience

Try a small task

Record a fictional school project’s income and expenses in Omani rials, reconcile the figures and explain the difference between available cash and profit.

Before deciding

Reporting periods can be busy, and rules and professional titles differ between countries. Do not assume that any qualification authorises auditing or independent practice.
