HEAC — undergraduate admission
Second-allocation applications — listed vacancies only
Cycle: 2026/27 — checked 18 October 2026
Published application window, open on the review date: 18–24 October 2026. This is the application period; 3–5 November is post-result institutional registration. Enter and rank second-round choices anew: first-round choices are not transferred automatically. Check the actual SQU vacancy code; inclusion in Irshad's general directory does not mean a seat is currently vacant.

Requirements and documents to check
Eligible undergraduate-system applicants include those never registered, those without a previous offer, and those who did not complete registration for an offer or withdrew. Programme conditions still apply. SQU, health and external-scholarship vacancies require a competitive score at least as high as the last first-round accepted score. Holding an international certificate does not automatically make a foreign national eligible for the citizen system. Published results date: 3 November 2026.
International/equivalent qualification documents for second allocation
Cycle: 2026/27 — checked 18 October 2026
Published deadline for uploading international/equivalent qualification documents: 25 October 2026. This is a document deadline for an eligible applicant; it does not extend the 24 October programme-choice deadline. 'International' here describes the qualification, not automatic eligibility for all residents.

Requirements and documents to check
Upload the grade transcript, identity card and Ministry of Education equivalency certificate, as required by the second-round notice for equivalent/international qualifications obtained inside or outside Oman. Apply through the system appropriate to your nationality and status, and verify accepted documents before the deadline.
The 19 July–19 August 2026 window closed before the review date; do not present it as open. International applicants use SQU's direct route, while Omani Afaaq applicants use HEAC. Residence or schooling in Oman alone does not confer regular citizen-route admission.

Requirements and documents to check
Current-school-year certificate only, age at most 25, final results and Ministry equivalency for an international qualification. For the eight programmes in this collection, international Afaaq requires GED 90% overall plus college-specific subjects; IB Diploma at least 30/45 and IBC at least 33/45 with subject conditions. At least two full A-levels must be in required subjects. Foundation is placement-based: the English exemption route includes IELTS 5.0 with no skill below 4.5, or the specified tests/courses. First-semester deferral is not permitted. Fees and merit reductions are not a scholarship guarantee.
This is separate from regular admission. The Afaaq booklet says Omani opportunities are announced through HEAC after first-round results. The international window is not reused for this route. No newly open Omani Afaaq period is established here; check the specific HEAC self-funded announcement.

Requirements and documents to check
Current-school-year qualification, age no higher than 25, programme conditions, and a competitive score at least the last first-round accepted score for the major multiplied by 0.97, subject to seats. Credit fees depend on the delivering college and the first semester is charged in full; later performance-based reductions may apply. This does not establish the price or funding of regular admission.
GCC nationals graduating from Oman schools — HEAC scholarships
Cycle: 2026/27 — checked 18 October 2026
For 2026/27, registration and choices closed on 20 August; the published institutional-registration period was 27 August–3 September. The current guide lists SQU CEPS as GSQ34 and Nursing as GSQ47, with specified other options. It does not list SQU engineering or science/computing; do not extend the scholarship to every SQU programme. Confirm award funding and non-tuition expenses with the institution.

Requirements and documents to check
GCC nationality, residence in Oman for at least a full academic year, and graduation from an Omani government or international/foreign school in Oman in 2025/26. Age 16–25 under the guide's 1 October and birth-date rule; non-Omani qualifications require equivalency and a valid residence card. CEPS: 75% overall, Advanced Mathematics 70% or Core Mathematics 80%, English 65%. Nursing: 85% overall, English 65%, and all four of Advanced Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology studied with 65% in three. Minima do not guarantee a seat.
Cycle: Official page checked 18 October 2026 — dates unspecified
The current SQU page confirms a GCC nomination route through applicants' home-country embassies in Oman. This section publishes no exact application dates, so it is not labelled open. Grade-12 graduates of schools inside Oman are directed to HEAC coordination under its own guide.

Eligibility, programmes and nomination depend on SQU and embassy criteria. Obtain written confirmation of the programme, documents, deadline and scholarship coverage before using it in your budget. This is separate from paid Afaaq and does not apply to all resident nationalities.
Children of non-Omani SQU employees — paid admission
Cycle: 2026/27 — checked 18 October 2026
A route for children of non-Omani university employees, not for all residents' children. The published 19 July–19 August 2026 window has ended; SQU describes the dates as estimated and subject to change.

Requirements and documents to check
Establish the required employee-child status and satisfy the programme criteria linked on SQU's page, applying through the university portal. 'Paid admission' does not establish that this route has the same fees or discounts as Afaaq; request a fee statement for this category.
Specific case: non-Omani students with Omani mothers
Cycle: 2026/27 — checked 18 October 2026
Both current HEAC guides allow a choice between the cultural-cooperation system and the undergraduate system designated for Omanis, competing through one system only. This documented case differs from ordinary residence and does not confer automatic SQU admission.

Requirements and documents to check
Confirm evidence of status, programme, cycle and qualification conditions, and the applicable window with HEAC. Do not compete through two systems or assume cultural-cooperation scholarship dates apply to regular admission.
Before applying, match the cycle, programme code, applicant category and qualification year, then check the closing time and timezone in the official portal. Keep submission and offer-acceptance confirmations.
