Sources last reviewed: 18 October 2026. Each record states its cycle, applicant category and action. An expired date does not establish a new cycle; admission, seat confirmation and university enrolment are separate actions. This page does not submit an application.

HEAC — undergraduate admission

Second-allocation applications — listed vacancies only

Cycle: 2026/27 — checked 18 October 2026

Published application window, open on the review date: 18–24 October 2026. This is the application period; 3–5 November is post-result institutional registration. Enter and rank second-round choices anew: first-round choices are not transferred automatically. Check the actual SQU vacancy code; inclusion in Irshad's general directory does not mean a seat is currently vacant.

Requirements and documents to check

Eligible undergraduate-system applicants include those never registered, those without a previous offer, and those who did not complete registration for an offer or withdrew. Programme conditions still apply. SQU, health and external-scholarship vacancies require a competitive score at least as high as the last first-round accepted score. Holding an international certificate does not automatically make a foreign national eligible for the citizen system. Published results date: 3 November 2026.

HEAC — undergraduate admission

Specific case: non-Omani students with Omani mothers

Cycle: 2026/27 — checked 18 October 2026

Both current HEAC guides allow a choice between the cultural-cooperation system and the undergraduate system designated for Omanis, competing through one system only. This documented case differs from ordinary residence and does not confer automatic SQU admission.

Actual programmes: check campus and final major

This is a selected programme list, not a promise of direct entry to a major. Open each profile for its level, campus, progression, funding and official references.

Nizwa

Bachelor of Technology in Software Engineering

Four academic years after the foundation programme; subject to progression requirements

Entry and progression requirements

A Nizwa software-engineering pathway covering programming, databases and applied projects. Admission and foundation requirements precede specialisation and progression; inconsistent progression wording in the catalogue has not been used.

Requirements, funding and sources ↗

Musandam

Diploma in Web and Mobile Technologies

Two academic years after the foundation programme

Entry and progression requirements

The catalogue associates the programme with Musandam, and the part-time branch/level inventory confirms a diploma. Study includes web development, programming and databases. Higher levels in the catalogue do not establish a current local bachelor intake.

Requirements, funding and sources ↗

Shinas

Bachelor of Business in Accounting

Four academic years after the foundation programme; subject to progression requirements

Entry and progression requirements

A staged accounting pathway; the branch inventory confirms bachelor level at Shinas. The catalogue requires completion of the Accounting Diploma with a level GPA of 2.50/4 for progression to the Advanced Diploma; this is not direct school-to-bachelor entry.

Requirements, funding and sources ↗

Musandam

Diploma of Science in Digital Business and Analytics

Two academic years after the foundation programme

Entry and progression requirements

Musandam branch pages and the branch inventory confirm this diploma pathway. The catalogue requires successful completion of the foundation programme; study covers e-business, databases and analytics. Specialisation admission depends on the route and available places.

Requirements, funding and sources ↗

Muscat

Bachelor of Technology in Quantity Surveying and Cost Engineering

Four academic years after the foundation programme; subject to progression requirements

Entry and progression requirements

Bachelor level is established at Muscat, with cost estimating, quantities and contracts. Catalogue progression requires the relevant Advanced Diploma with CGPA 2.75/4 and IELTS 5 or FDL 71. Bachelor availability must not be inferred for another branch that lists only a diploma.

Requirements, funding and sources ↗

Muscat

Bachelor’s in Applied Biology

Four academic years after the foundation programme; subject to progression requirements

Entry and progression requirements

An English-taught Muscat programme combining science and laboratory study. Published bachelor progression requires the Applied Biology Advanced Diploma with CGPA 2.75/4 and IELTS 5 or FDL 71. Confirm the exact award wording in the admission letter because the catalogue is inconsistent.

Requirements, funding and sources ↗

Sur

BSc Applied Biotechnology — Environmental Applied Biotechnology

Four academic years after the foundation programme; subject to progression requirements

Entry and progression requirements

The catalogue specifies Sur, English instruction and the environmental major within Applied Biotechnology. Study includes laboratory and environmental applications. Use the current admission code’s mathematics, science and English requirements; undated catalogue grades do not replace the cycle’s guide.

Requirements, funding and sources ↗

Nizwa

BA Design — Graphic Design

Four academic years after the foundation programme; subject to progression requirements

Entry and progression requirements

The catalogue places the English-taught Graphic Design major in Nizwa. The design route requires an aptitude test followed by applicable foundation and specialisation requirements. Check your code’s mathematics, English and art/engineering-drawing conditions; school grades alone are insufficient.

Identify the route before choosing a major

Check citizenship, special category, graduation year and qualification origin against institutional conditions. Non-Omani residents should not assume residence gives access to the citizen route; review the specified routes below.

Check major, campus and academic progression

A programme profile describes a field of study and does not guarantee availability to every category or campus in every cycle. Check award level, foundation study, major allocation, progression and workload, and keep the official response.
