Skills to practise

  • Scientific reasoning
  • Listening and empathy
  • Careful communication and judgment under uncertainty

Examples of learning routes

The study routes are examples, not admission requirements or a job guarantee. Check school-subject prerequisites, teaching language and recognition of the qualification in your intended work country. For regulated professions, verify training, registration and licensing with the relevant local authority before choosing a programme; university admission does not automatically establish eligibility to practise.

  • A medical qualification recognised by the regulator in the intended country
  • Locally required clinical training, examinations and registration, followed by specialist training where needed

Try a small task

Compare medicine, nursing and public health, then arrange a career conversation with a physician or an approved observation opportunity that protects patient privacy.

Before deciding

Training is lengthy and can be costly, and some roles involve irregular hours. Eligibility to practise does not automatically transfer between Gulf countries or elsewhere.
