Practical guide

Explore your interests and discover your strengths

Small school projects and local activities to explore interests before narrowing your study options.

Try three kinds of activity

Choose an activity involving numbers or design, one involving writing or presenting, and one involving teamwork. Do not judge an interest from one test score. Notice what you enjoy, what needs practice and what you want to try again.

  • Map an Omani product from origin to shop, using fictional cost data.
  • Write an Arabic and English guide to a place in your governorate, citing sources.
  • Build a paper model or learning dashboard and explain your testing and improvements.

Ask about subjects before choosing

Collect the subjects your school actually offers in later years. Ask about progression in mathematics, science and language, and the difference between a subject name, level and awarding body. Later, review official programme requirements with a counsellor.

Keep a simple learning record

For each activity record the question, your role, what you made and feedback that changed your work. Keep an example of the output rather than collecting unexplained attendance certificates. You do not need a public account or full job CV at this stage.

Discuss your needs

Tell us about your current stage and the question you want to work on, so we can discuss suitable support.
