Days 1–30 · Understand the work
Whether you are preparing for employment or starting a new role, define one target capability. Gather examples of what good work looks like. Compare your current evidence with that standard and ask a teacher, mentor or manager to challenge your assumptions.
Days 31–60 · Produce something reviewable
Choose a project that demonstrates the capability: a small analysis, a process guide, a presentation or a service improvement proposal. Define the audience and success criteria before starting. A completed course is useful, but an example of applying it is stronger evidence.
Days 61–90 · Improve and explain
Ask for specific feedback, make a revision and document what changed. Practise explaining your decisions in a few minutes. If the project uses workplace information, obtain permission and remove confidential details before including it in a portfolio.
Review the plan, not your worth
A missed milestone is information about workload, support or the original estimate. Adjust the next action rather than turning the plan into a judgement of ability. Set a realistic weekly time budget and keep the evidence manageable.
